Recently, a part processing customer reported that the dehydrated antirust oil in use has thickened. Will continued use affect the antirust effect? Because the parts are relatively small, the customer uses the immersion method to prevent rust. The on-site operator first pours the antirust oil into the material box, then puts the workpiece into the oil to soak for a few minutes, then takes out the oil, and then packs it into the warehouse. The thickened antirust oil is the antirust oil used in the material box for a period of time. The operator reported that after the parts were soaked in the thickened antirust oil and the oil was taken out, the workpiece was greasy and the air gun could not blow it clean. At present, there was no rust on the parts. He hoped to find out the cause of this phenomenon and the solution. After some investigation and understanding, it was judged that the reason for the thickening of the antirust oil was that the antirust oil had precipitated, so it was necessary to communicate with the on-site operator in detail and give suggestions for improving the operation details, which was recognized by the on-site operator and avoided the occurrence of rust prevention failure.
Why does rust preventative oil precipitate? Sedimentation, that is, during the storage of antirust oil, its solid part will sink to the bottom of the container. When the antirust oil is opened, insert a stirring rod into the paint bucket. When lifting, if the color consistency of the adhesive is uniform, there is no precipitation. If the top is thin and the bottom is thick, and it is difficult to precipitate, there is precipitation. When the mixing rod cannot be inserted into the bottom of the barrel, the bottom sediment is hard and cannot be stirred evenly, agglomeration occurs. If the anti rust oil precipitates, it will affect the function of the anti rust oil and will not play its due role on the machine. Therefore, pay attention to the correct use of anti rust oil. How to prevent rust preventative oil from settling? The following points can effectively prolong the precipitation of antirust oil: 1. The storage temperature of antirust oil should not be too high or too low; 2. The storage time of antirust oil should not be too long. Remember to use antirust oil products that have exceeded the shelf life. 3. Anti rust oil shall be stored in a cool and ventilated place.
