The selection of lubricating oil is the first step in the use of lubricating oil, and is the key to ensuring reasonable lubrication of equipment and giving full play to the performance of lubricating oil.
1. The selection of lubricating oil should consider the following three factors:
(1) Working conditions (that is, working conditions) when the mechanical equipment is actually used;

Selection of lubricating oil performance indicators ⑴ Viscosity: Viscosity is an index for the classification and classification of various lubricating oils, and is of decisive significance for quality identification and determination. The viscosity of the lubricating oil used in the equipment is determined according to the design or calculation data and the relevant chart. ⑵ Pour point: The pour point is an index that indirectly indicates the low temperature fluidity of lubricants during storage, transportation and use. Experience has shown that the use temperature of general lubricating oil must be 5 ~ 10 ℃ higher than the pour point. ⑶ Flash point: The flash point is mainly a safe indicator for the storage, transportation and use of lubricating oil. The principle stipulated in the flash point index of lubricating oil is to maintain 1/2 safety factor according to safety regulations, that is, 1/2 higher than the actual use temperature. For example, the maximum oil temperature of the oil pan of an internal combustion engine does not exceed 120 ° C, so the minimum flash point of the engine oil is specified to be 180 ° C. ⑷ Selection of performance indicators: There are many performance indicators, and the gap between different varieties is very different. It should be determined based on the conditions of the equipment, the requirements of the manufacturer and the description and introduction of oil products.
