1. Copper wire drawing disconnection

When a wire break occurs, the reasons may be multi-faceted. According to the analysis of the fracture shape, it can be generally divided into two categories. One is caused by the defects of the copper material during casting and rolling, and the other is caused by various factors in the wire drawing process. The main reason related to drawing oil is insufficient lubricity. Lubricity depends on the drawing oil formulation and the use of the emulsion (including: concentration, emulsion uniformity, emulsion stability, component content, etc.).

2. Copper wire drawing oxidation

Oxygen and sulfur can easily attack copper to form compounds: black Cuo, Cu2O; red Cu2S. The reasons for these reactions may be as follows: (1) anaerobic bacteria; (2) a certain humidity exists on the copper wire after annealing; (3) oxygen exists during annealing. In order to avoid this phenomenon, the emulsion for copper wire drawing must contain antioxidants in order to prevent all or part of the copper wire from blackening.

3. Copper wire brushed foam
Generally, there is a temporary foaming phenomenon in the commissioning stage of a new system. Even in a properly sized system, the use of deionized water will increase the possibility of foaming. Foam may generally last for hours or even days, but it is easier to control and can reach a steady state. Occasional foam is often caused by accidental turbulence. Cleaning the machine with detergent can also cause foaming. The reason for the foam is that air is mixed into the emulsion.
 
4. Bacteria
Water is the carrier of bacteria, they grow very fast in a suitable environment, emulsifiers and some other natural ingredients constitute such an environment. Bacteria can attack the emulsifier, making it acidic and causing the pH to drop. Bacterial growth can cause instability of the emulsion, sometimes leading to demulsification, accompanied by a special odor, affecting the surface quality of the copper wire and reducing the lubricity of the emulsion. For the above reasons, monitoring the growth of bacteria is recommended. When bacteria grow more, they must be controlled with fungicides. The preventive measure is to aerate the liquid, usually by circulating air into the emulsion to stop the growth of anaerobic bacteria.
 
5. During the copper wire drawing process, friction occurs between the copper wire and the wire drawing die and the guide wheel. Therefore, the role of the copper wire drawing emulsified oil by spraying or dipping is mainly to lubricate and cool, and reduce the friction between metals. and take away the heat generated. At the same time, the wire drawing emulsified oil also has: prevent copper wire oxidation, non-stick wire, cleanability, non-foaming, non-toxic, stable physical and chemical properties.
