Mistake 1: Is the whiter the emulsion, the better? After emulsified oil and water are mixed and dispersed, three types of emulsions can be adjusted according to different emulsified dispersion systems: O/w oil in water type: oil droplets greater than 1 μ m—0.1 μ m. The emulsion appearance is milk like milky white opaque liquid; Microemulsion type: oil droplet 0.1 μ m—0.05 μ Mm, emulsion appearance is gray blue translucent liquid. W/o water in oil type: 0.05 smaller oil droplets, colorless light yellow transparent liquid. The stability of the above three emulsified oils at room temperature and high temperature: w/o oil in water is the best, followed by microemulsion, and o/w oil in water is the worst. The smaller the particles, the more uniform, and the longer the stability period of the emulsified oil, generally 1-6 months. The oil-water separation of the emulsified oil is called demulsification, and its performance will be lost after demulsification. Therefore, the stability of colorless or light yellow transparent liquid emulsified oil is the best.
Mistake 2: Does the indication of refractometer determine the quality of emulsified oil? The index of refractometer is used as the reference, and the measured index is the water oil blending standard, not a fixed value. For example, the ratio of emulsified oil to water is 5:95, and the refractometer test index is 1; That is, this indicator is the matching standard; When the indication is lower than 1 in batch use, emulsified oil shall be added; When the reading is higher than 1, water shall be added. Before using emulsified oil from different manufacturers or each batch, a reference indicator must be established as reference.
