Polyol ester makes excellent high-temperature chain oil

Chain oil is a common industrial oil. The chain lubrication system regularly and quantitatively injects the clearance between the pin shaft and sleeve of the chain to ensure good lubrication effect and reduce the consumption of lubricating oil. With the rapid development of the industry, the operating temperature of the equipment transmission system is getting higher and higher, and the transmission speed is getting faster and faster. The requirements for chain oil are becoming increasingly stringent.

A good chain oil must have the following properties:
1. Excellent high temperature stability, oxidation stability, low coking and less carbon deposition
2. Good lubrication and wetting capacity
3. Good adhesion
4. Low volatile loss
5. Good low-temperature performance and viscosity temperature performance
6. Good rust and corrosion resistance

Development of chain oil from mineral oil to synthetic oil:
Mineral oil type
The operating temperature is below 150 ℃, but it is rapidly oxidized at 150-160 ℃, forming a large amount of sludge and gum, with serious carbon deposition and coking, and high volatility.

polyether
When the operating temperature is 150-220 ℃, it is not easy to form dirt, paint film or carbon deposit. When the temperature exceeds 220 ℃, the thermal decomposition products volatilize or dissolve in the residual oil, which consumes a lot.

Synthetic ester type

220-300 ℃, excellent thermal oxidation stability, less evaporation loss, less coking, a certain degree of solubility to the resin paint film, excellent lubrication, energy conservation and environmental protection.

Formula composition of chain oil (recommended scheme):
Base Oil: saturated polyol ester (excellent high temperature performance, minimal evaporation loss, good wettability)+composite ester (improve oil film strength and adhesion)
Additives: amine antioxidant+phenolic antioxidant+antirust agent+extreme pressure antiwear agent.

Traditional mineral oil and PAO formulations can no longer meet the requirements of high-end chain oil. Some Class V base oils: special synthetic ester oils, have excellent thermal and oxidation stability, low volatility, good viscosity temperature characteristics, excellent lubrication performance and strong polarity, good wettability with metals, a certain degree of solubility to resins, controllable sediment, biodegradable, etc. Because of its excellent comprehensive performance, it has defeated many oil products and become a must for many chain oil manufacturers.
