What's the difference between anhydrous calcium grease and common calcium grease?

The colloidal structure of common calcium based grease can be maintained when the cellulose solvent is contained in the structure.When the applied ambient temperature is higher than 90 ℃, the water in the structure will volatilize,the structure of the grease is destroyed and its lubricity is lost.In addition, when the ambient temperature is lower than - 10 ℃, the water will freeze at 0 ° due to the existence of water, which affects the low-temperature performance of the fat body.


Anhydrous calcium grease has no water as glue solvent. It can be used in higher temperature environment, and can be used in occasions above 100 ℃. Anhydrous calcium base grease can also be used in lower temperature environment. For example, it can still be used normally at - 16 ° to 35 ° C. Therefore, water-free calcium base grease is widely used in automobile bearing lubrication in cold regions.
