The price of emulsified oil on the market has been decreasing, and the cost of emulsified oil is controlled within 10%. Domestic emulsified oil is even more competitive at low prices. The emulsified oil is made of simple production process, the Base Oil and conforming agent are made by simply mixing and filling the tube. However, the delivery of a qualified emulsified oil to the customer’s site is not a simple addition and stirring of base oil and compounding agents. It is necessary to do some routine tests, such as thermal stability test, for each oil. Whether the anti-rust and anti-corrosion test is qualified. Make sure to pass the talent and rest assured that the product is handed over to the customer. However, a company received a complaint from a customer a few days ago, saying: The emulsified oil you used recently will drift after a few days after the preparation. The oil slick is serious. What is the reason? In order to reduce the cost, change the formula?


In fact, the truth is this:
Emulsified oil uses slick oil, which is mostly caused by the instability of the oil itself, often referred to as oil-water separation. Emulsified oil contains oil and water, and the two are not compatible with each other. It depends on the lipophilic and hydrophilic groups of some emulsifiers to change what water is. The two are mixed into a transparent colloid that emulsifies with water. The choice of emulsifier is extremely important to the stability of emulsified oil. Thermodynamically speaking, it is an unstable system, but due to the presence of sufficient emulsifiers and stabilizers, the emulsion itself is relatively stable.

However, if the hydrated working fluid is diluted or added to the emulsified oil system, the stable environment of the emulsified oil will be destroyed. In a new environment, emulsified oil is easy to demulsify and float. The general working fluid and defoaming system contain salts, alcohols, acids, alkalis and other organic and inorganic substances. These substances generally have demulsification. The oil is added to the emulsified medium in a small amount, and the emulsified oil is completely in a completely new and different environment. If the level of defoamer technology is low, and some common or unsuitable emulsifiers and co-emulsifiers are used, such defoamers can easily demulsify and bleach oil.
