Will food grade grease pass their shelf life?

Unlike general food and medicine, lubricating grease does not have a strict shelf life. Because the performance of food grade lubricating grease is relatively stable, as long as the lubricating oil is stored properly, it will generally not affect the use. Therefore, the state does not stipulate the shelf life or validity period of lubricating oil. Under the dry and normal storage conditions of sealed state at room temperature and dustproof, waterproof and chemical fumes, the oil is generally stored for three years, and the indicators have not changed. Nonetheless, users should pay special attention to storage conditions:
(1) The ideal storage space for lubricating oil in cans and barrels is indoors. Lubricants in small drums and any packages that have been opened must be stored indoors to avoid the impact of climate change.
(2) Too low or too high temperature may affect the quality of lubricating grease, and it is not advisable to store lubricating grease in a place that is too hot or too cold for a long time.
(3) When the lubricating grease is not stored well, and dust and water enter the oil, turbidity and precipitation may occur, and it should be stopped immediately.
(4) Warehouses that store a large amount of food-grade lubricating grease should also be shipped in and out according to the principle of "early in and early out". In short, food-grade lubricating grease can be stored for more than three years in good storage conditions (indoor storage, no water pollution, cool and dry, unopened) and can be used with confidence. If it exceeds the usage time, it needs to be inspected before it can be used.
