Can different types of grease be mixed?

Different types of grease should not be mixed in principle. There are three major components of the grease: Base Oil, Lubricant Additive and thickener.Any part of the difference may affect its performance, especially the different types of extreme pressure grease. As the added extreme pressure additive are active substances, they are likely to react with each other and become corrosive substances of equipment, and should not be mixed.


Generally, the amount of lubricant grease is not much. When the amount of grease is not enough, replacement measures can be taken, and the waste is not much.The same kind of grease should be added when the circulating lubrication system needs to be supplemented, so as to avoid the overall quality being affected by the addition of a small amount of abnormal substances.
