Difference between marine oil and ordinary vehicle diesel engine

1. The basic value of marine oil is generally high. Due to the high sulfur content of marine fuel oil (generally in the range of 0.5% - 3.5%), the lubricating oil must have sufficient alkali retention to neutralize the acidic substances generated after fuel combustion

2. Marine oil has good water resistance. It is inevitable that ships will encounter water pollution when they are sailing at sea. Therefore, marine lubricating oil must have good anti emulsifying performance and water separating performance, while land diesel engine oil has no such working condition and no such requirement
