If the equilibrium of the emulsified oil system is not adjusted properly, that is, the HLB value (lipophilic and hydrophilic equilibrium value of surfactants) is too high, or if it is not emulsified and dispersed into the oil phase system, stratification will occur after being stationary.
2. Poor antioxidant performance and prolonged storage time. The antioxidant performance of Base Oil is poor, and storage is poor. The optimal storage temperature for emulsions is 4-30 degrees Celsius, which has a significant negative impact on the cutting fluid. Prolonged outdoor exposure can cause the oil components in the cutting fluid to separate. Solution 1. Choose the appropriate emulsifier. Reasonable use of emulsifiers is crucial, as it is important to grasp both acidity and alkalinity, as well as basic HLB. 2. Choose a suitable base oil. The most direct way to determine whether a base oil can be used to produce metalworking fluids is to determine the hydrophilicity balance value of the base oil. If its HLB value is above 9, the lotion made has good stability, and if its HLB value is less than 9, it is not suitable. Even if the stability of lotion is well adjusted, it is not particularly ideal. 3. Reasonable storage. Even a cutting fluid with excellent performance cannot maintain its performance for a long time without paying attention to daily maintenance and management.
