At present, antirust oil products include dehydrated antirust oil, soft film antirust oil, hard film antirust oil, quick drying antirust oil, etc. So, how to choose the antirust oil?
Rust preventive oil must have the following four characteristics: 1. Strong penetrability, prevents wear on friction surface after application. Fat oil has good rust resistance, which can prevent new rust 2. Long rust prevention period, leaving a layer of non dry film with strong protective performance on the metal surface, effectively resisting various chemical corrosivity 3. Easy to clean, the oil film formed on the metal surface can be cleaned with petroleum solvent or kerosene 4. Noise elimination can make the lubricant penetrate into small space and form an oil film, thus reducing wear between moving parts and eliminating noise.

Soft film antirust oil refers to a layer of soft grease like oil film formed on the surface of metal workpiece after solvent volatilization, which will not be lost and can be cleaned with solvent. Generally, it is mainly used for indoor short-term, medium and long-term rust prevention. After the solvent volatilizes, the hard film antirust oil forms a transparent or opaque film on the surface, which is non adhesive and non sticky, and looks like transparent paint. It is mainly composed of film forming materials, antirust agents and petroleum solvents. When the oil is coated on the metal surface, the solvent volatilizes to form a solid hard film that is firm and not sticky, so it is called hard film antirust oil. If the film forming agent is petroleum resin, the film may be broken after a period of time or during the impact process. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce its brittleness and improve its toughness, so that it will not fall off easily. The film-forming agent is mostly asphalt, oil soluble resin, etc. It is applicable to the rust prevention of the surface of large machinery and equipment, and the sealing of metal products and equipment in outdoor conditions is better than soft film rust preventative oil in rust prevention and atmospheric corrosion resistance. Therefore, soft film antirust oil and hard film antirust oil have their own characteristics. Generally, soft film antirust oil is used for antirust oil of indoor and warehouse products, while hard film antirust oil can be selected for outdoor suggestions. The oil film formed by hard film antirust oil has certain brittleness and may fall off during transportation and impact. This problem does not exist with soft film antirust oil. Therefore, you can choose the appropriate antirust oil formula according to your product storage environment and antirust requirements.
