Water based cutting fluid often produces a lot of foam due to water quality, additives, agitation and other reasons during cutting. If these foam are not handled in time, it will affect the production process, production cost and product quality.

1. There is a lot of foam just after mixing water?


Resolvent:

A: This situation depends on whether the ratio concentration is appropriate. There is a large amount of foam just after the water is added. At this time, the ratio concentration should be adjusted. Generally, the ratio is too thick, and more water should be added.

B: The cutting fluid itself contains antifoaming agent, but the content is small, because the antifoaming agent (the antifoaming agent with poor quality) cannot be dissolved in the cutting fluid, or it can only be temporarily dissolved in the cutting fluid and will precipitate after a period of time. The cutting fluid bought by the user will not be used up for 1-2 months. When you use it again, you'd better shake the bucket to let the ingredients fully mix. In this way, the content of defoamer in the poured cutting fluid will be more uniform, and the foam will be much less. (Therefore, the reason for shaking before using will be marked on the drum of individual cutting fluid brands)

2. How much foam after a few days?

Resolvent:
A: Refill the new liquid (add the cutting liquid and water according to a certain proportion, and do not add water without it to affect the cutting effect and rust prevention)

B: Check that there is not less water in the lower water tank. If there is less water, fill the tank in time.

C: The flow rate of cutting fluid is too fast, and there is no time for bubbles to overflow. The more bubbles accumulate, the more foam will be produced.

D: Check whether there is dirt at the bottom of the lower spray nozzle and water pump and remove it.

E: Whether the gasket in the middle of the water pump is loose. When the water pump rotates, one of the gaskets swings up and down, causing a lot of foam in the water tank, which will come out of the water tank in serious cases. It can be solved by fixing it with iron wire.

If the above conditions are detected, there are still too many foam, and only defoamer can be used to remove foam (generally, the defoamer will disappear immediately after adding foam, but after a period of time, foam will reappear, so defoamer can only be added to solve the problem, and this will continue to circulate). The foam of water-based cutting fluid is usually more than the oily foam, as long as it does not affect the use or flow out of machine tools and water tanks. Generally, we don't care about it.
