The fat content of the copper wire drawing solution can be simply understood as the thickness of the oil film formed in the deformation zone during the copper wire drawing process. 3. If the fat content of copper wire drawing is too high, a part of it will be freed, causing the emulsion to be layered and adhered to the copper powder, suspended on the emulsion, sticking to the mold hole, causing blockage of the mold hole, and then breaking the wire. In severe cases, it will even directly lead to the deterioration of the lubricating oil, requiring the entire pool to be replaced, resulting in losses.

If the fat content of the copper drawing fluid is too low, the oil film must be very thin, or a complete oil film cannot be formed. In the process of wire drawing, it is easy to cause cracks, so that the drawn copper wire and the die cannot be lubricated, and the friction force is increased, which will cause the following undesirable conditions:
1. The tensile force increases, which will lead to frequent disconnection
2. Friction increases, heat is generated, oil temperature rises, and fuel consumption increases
3. The surface quality of the drawn wire is reduced
4. The mold and the tower wheel wear quickly, and the copper powder increases
