With the high-grade of textile fabrics, the level of post-treatment technology is required to be further improved, and the working conditions are more demanding. Therefore, in the oil-lubricated chain system, higher requirements are put forward for high-temperature chain oil. Because the fabrics produced by textile mills have to undergo various processes such as pretreatment, dyeing, printing and finishing. In these production and processing processes, a large amount of dyes, auxiliaries, acid-base substances and hot water are required. As a result, the chain runs in a working environment with a lot of water, steam, and acid-base media.

When the fabric is dried, printed, shaped, etc., the temperature is relatively high, up to 230℃, and the chain speed is up to 120m/min or more. The chain used in post-processing equipment, especially the heat setting machine, is very long, the number of sections in the drying room is large, and the chain has a long working time in the drying room. Due to the "polygon effect" of the transmission, its instantaneous chain speeds are all changing, which will cause constant vibration, heavy impact load, and aggravate fatigue wear (pitting). Long-term continuous operation of the equipment requires stable and reliable work.

Coking performance: The amount of coking is the most important index for evaluating the quality of chain oil. The chain oil adheres to the chain and the guide rail after being coked, causing the chain to block and drag when running. Friction, impact load, motor current increase, aggravation of chain wear, fatigue and waste of energy, and serious chain jumps. Tooth, drag chain, broken or inverter or motor burned out.

Coking is the product of high-temperature oxidation of chain oil. The presence of water, steam, acid and alkali substances, and flocs will aggravate chain oil oxidation and increase the amount of coking. Coking is inevitable. A good chain oil has a stable chemical structure and produces very little oily coke, which can be taken away, prolonging the maintenance and cleaning cycle of the chain.

To measure the quality of high-temperature chain oil, the following characteristics must be met:

volatility:
Volatility is another important indicator to measure the quality of chain oil. Excessive volatilization of chain oil leads to increased oil consumption and environmental pollution. It is worth noting that if the volatilization is too large and the exhaust fan is not removed in time, no oil mist will be formed on the oven, and the oil mist will drip and contaminate the fabric after it has condensed. A good chain oil requires as little volatilization as possible. The main cause of chain oil consumption is the large amount of oil volatile, which reduces the economic benefits of chain oil.

Permeability:
There is a little gap between the inner and outer chain plates of the chain and between the roller and the inner chain plate. The chain oil penetrates into the friction surface between the sleeve and the pin, and between the roller and the sleeve through the gap. Chain oil with poor permeability makes it difficult for oil to enter the friction point, aggravating chain wear and even seizure, and shortening the service life of the chain.

Lubricity:
Lubrication performance refers to the ability of the chain oil to retain the oil film at high temperatures. Poor lubricity increases the friction of the chain, increases energy consumption, and aggravates wear.

Low temperature:
Low temperature performance In winter, when the equipment is stopped for a long time and restarted, if the viscosity of the chain oil is too high or solidifies, it will cause difficulty in starting the equipment, prolong the preheating time, and even burn the inverter or motor. Therefore, the chain oil is required to have good fluidity at low temperatures.

Easy to clean:
It is easy to clean. If the oil is too thin at high temperature, when the chain speed is very high, the oil on the chain and track will fly to the fabric. Therefore, it is required that the viscosity of the chain oil at high temperature should not be too small. Once it contaminates the fabric, it is required to be easy to clean.
