The temperature in some places is basically more than 30 degrees, which is very conducive to the growth of cutting fluid bacteria. However, if there are more bacteria, the cutting fluid will naturally stink and deteriorate. In order to prevent the cutting fluid from smelling and deteriorating, first of all, we need to understand the main channels through which bacteria enter the cutting fluid.

First: In the process of cutting fluid production, if it is emulsified oil, the water used to prepare the emulsified oil contains bacteria, then the cutting fluid prepared will naturally have bacteria.

Second: If the cutting fluid contacts with air during preparation, the bacteria in the air will also enter the cutting fluid. In addition to the above two points, there may be contact with bacteria during the preparation of cutting fluid. Therefore, in the process of using cutting fluid, such as the operation of workpieces, the bad habits of operators, the cleaning of the workshop, and the cleaning of the water tank, the bacteria in the cutting fluid are greatly affected.

So how can we prevent the cutting fluid from smelling and corrosion? For metal processing and cutting manufacturers, this problem should be prevented from the source. Therefore, when selecting cutting fluid, it is necessary to select some cutting fluid with high quality and good biological stability.

In the process of using cutting fluid, the following points should be done well to prevent the cutting fluid from stinking and deterioration:

First, use a refractometer regularly to test the concentration parameters of cutting fluid. Because the concentration is too high, the cutting fluid is easy to cause skin allergy of operators. If the concentration is too low, it will cause a lot of bacterial corrosion.

Second: Try to reduce the oil leaked from the machine tool mixed with the cutting fluid, because the oil used by the machine tool contains bacteria.

Third: When the pH value of cutting fluid is too low, new cutting fluid should be added in time to increase the pH value. When the pH value of cutting fluid is between 8.3 and 9.2, bacteria cannot survive.

Fourth: Do a good job of cleaning the workshop environment, and do not make the cutting fluid contact with dirty oil, food, tobacco and other contaminants.

Fifth: Do a good job in training workers on the operation and maintenance of cutting fluid.
