Recently, a friend asked about the formula improvement of his Semi Synthetic Cutting Fluid. The question is how to compare the performance of the improved and previous products? How do you know that the improved performance is better than the previous one?

The four ball machine introduced earlier is not suitable for evaluating the lubricity of metalworking fluid, especially water-based cutting fluid, which has very poor correlation. Here, he is recommended a tapping torque machine, which has a very good correlation. Tapping torque machine is suitable for both water-based cutting fluid and pure oil products.

Take a look at this example: performance comparison of semi synthetic system before and after adding polyester.

Polyester has excellent extreme pressure lubricity, greatly prolongs the life of tools and dies, and can greatly improve the aluminum processing performance.

It shows that the extreme pressure lubricity of the formula has been greatly improved after adding polyester to the semi synthetic system.
