How to measure the quality of cutting fluid water quality?

In our communication with customers, we found that there are many misunderstandings about the use of wire-cutting by customers, resulting in cutting products that are not as good as expected. To sum up, the main reasons are divided into two parts: the first is the basic operation of the machine tool, and the second is the maintenance of machine tool consumables. Today we focus on the correct use of cutting fluid in the replacement of consumables in maintenance.
Before talking about cutting fluid, it is necessary to understand the basic principle of wire cutting for the first time. In a certain insulating liquid medium, the pulse discharge between the electrode wire and the workpiece will generate high temperature, which will melt and vaporize the local metal and be corroded. From this sentence, it can be seen that in addition to discharge, the insulating liquid medium is also a very important link. Since the overall concept of the medium-speed wire travel comes from the slow-moving wire, we must first understand some basic methods of controlling the slow-moving wire. The reason why the slow-moving wire has high precision and good stability, in addition to its own discharge performance, deionized water (adjusted with resin) is also very important, and the conductivity must be maintained within a certain range, otherwise, high finish and high precision will be Affected (the wide range of high precision referred to here is stable below 0.01mm, and the high finish is less than 0.7um in Ra). For different materials, due to different discharge gaps, the conductivity needs to be adjusted accordingly, otherwise the expected requirements will not be met. Therefore, in the same way, in order to maintain the state of the new machine, the requirements for water quality are also very high. However, in our customer return visits, we found that most of our customers did not do it well. So in the end how to measure the quality of cutting fluid water quality? 
Refractometer
The refractometer in the picture above is a very good measuring instrument. The measured data can play a certain reference role. The use method is provided in the appendix. Generally, the value required for the middle wire is not less than 11. After the first stage of use, the measured value will increase. We usually add some pure water for adjustment, and pay attention to adding pure water (conditional deionized water is better ). If the measured value is too low, add cutting fluid to adjust. At low value for a long time, the processing line is easy to break, and the countertop and water tank are easy to rust. So you can increase the value a bit. We also have feedback from many military units. Some materials with high melting points and easy to break wires will improve by increasing the value. Of course, it is not that the higher the measured value, the better. If the cutting fluid is not replaced for a long time, it will appear, and the measured value will "explode" (it is all white in the instrument). In this case, the whole box must be cut. fluid to be replaced. When replacing, be sure to clean the water tank well, otherwise, the original attachments left in the water tank will cause the water tank and its countertops to rust.
How to use the refractometer in the attached picture: Take two or three drops of the used cutting fluid in the water tank, and read the value according to the scale (the requirement for the middle wire should be no less than 11, and the figure is 14.5) After cleaning the water tank, add cutting fluid and pure water. We recommend and use the cost-effective S-100 or DIC-206S water-soluble cutting fluid. The ratio of both is 1:5.5. So what is the difference between these two cutting fluids and the ordinary cutting fluids on the market? One is the formulated formula and the other is the formulated concentration. The use of cutting fluid S-100 and DIC-206S can better exert the performance of intermediate wire cutting. To sum up, there are many factors to control the middle wire, the cutting fluid in the consumables is an important part, and it is hoped that the users of the middle wire must pay attention to it.
