Precision copper strip is a copper strip product with high precision and surface quality, widely used in fields such as electrical appliances, electronic industry, construction and transportation, machinery, instruments, light industry, daily necessities, and military industry. With the modernization of the national economy and the rapid development of high-tech, the market has increasingly high requirements for the quality of copper plate and strip products, and higher requirements have been put forward for the production technology of precision copper plate and strip. In the production process of precision copper plate and strip, rolling oil, as an important consumable, has the most direct impact on the final quality.

Introduction to Copper Strip Rolling Process

Copper strip rolling process:

Rough rolling → cleaning → intermediate rolling → cleaning → finishing rolling → finished product

Copper strip cleaning process:

Copper strip → degreaser cleaning → water washing → acid washing → water washing → passivation → water washing → drying → finished product

Rough rolling: Rolling a rough billet of about 15mm to about 3.0mm through several passes, usually using emulsion rolling, with a concentration of 2-5%.

Medium rolling: Rolling semi-finished products around 3.0mm to around 1.0mm through several passes, using emulsion or rolling oil according to different rolling mills. The emulsion rolling speed is generally 1-3 m/s, with poor shape quality and low production efficiency. When rolling with rolling oil, the rolling speed can reach 6-8 m/s, resulting in high-quality copper strips and high production efficiency.

Precision rolling: Generally, copper strips of around 1.0mm are rolled to around 0.5mm through several passes, using oil similar to medium rolling.

Four high rolling mill, UC6 high rolling mill, tower 20 high rolling mill

Domestic rolling mill brands: Zhongse Technology, China Heavy Industry Institute, etc

Foreign rolling mill brands: MINO, Sigma, etc

Requirements for Oil Products in Copper Strip Rolling
Medium rolling: The copper strip has a thickness of 1.0-3.0mm, a rolling force of about 300T, a slow rolling speed of 4-6 m/s, and high requirements for oil lubricity. Usually, the rolling oil viscosity is required to be between 6.5-7mm2/s.

Precision rolling: The copper strip is thinner by 0.5-2.0mm, with a rolling force of about 200T, a rolling speed of 6-8m/s, and higher requirements for oil cooling. Usually, the rolling oil viscosity is required to be between 6-6.5mm2/s.

Roller grinding: The roller material is generally high alloy steel, and the surface roughness Ra is required to reach 0.1-0.3, which requires high lubrication of the grinding fluid.

Degreasing agent: Clean annealed or unannealed copper strips, usually at a cleaning temperature of 60-70 ℃. Annealed copper strips are mainly cleaned with ash, while unannealed copper strips are mainly cleaned with oil. It is required that the degreasing agent has good oil and ash washing properties. Nowadays, it is not easy to clean the finished products with room temperature degreasing agents on the market, and high-temperature degreasing agents are still the main method.
