1) The orifice of the threaded bottom hole on the workpiece shall be chamfered, and both ends of the through-hole thread shall be chamfered. 2) The position of the workpiece clamp shall be correct, and the centerline of the threaded hole shall be placed at the horizontal or vertical position as far as possible, so that it is easy to judge whether the tap axis is perpendicular to the plane of the workpiece when tapping. 3) At the beginning of tapping, place the tap as straight as possible, then apply pressure to the tap and turn the winch. When cutting 1-2 turns, carefully check and correct the position of the tap. Generally, when cutting 3-4 turns of threads, the tap position should be correct. In the future, it is only necessary to turn the winch instead of applying pressure to the tap, otherwise the thread profile will be damaged. 4) During tapping, every 1/2-1 turn of the twist wrench should be reversed for about 1/2 turn, so that the chips can be easily discharged after being broken, and the phenomenon of the tap being rolled by the cutting edge due to chip sticking can be reduced. 5) When encountering a screw hole that cannot be tapped, always exit the tap to remove the chips in the hole. 6) When tapping the screw holes of plastic materials, add lubricating coolant. For steel materials, oil or emulsion with high concentration is generally used, and professional tapping oil and tapping oil can be used if higher tapping and tapping process is required. For stainless steel tapping with high accuracy, professional stainless steel tapping oil tapping oil can be used. Iron and steel, carbon steel, A3 iron, with high precision requirements, complicated and difficult tapping, etc. In order to save money, paraffin oil is used, which has strong adhesion, is difficult to clean, and is easy to rust. In addition, soybean oil and rapeseed oil are also used, which are particularly difficult to clean. Many electroplating encounters peeling problems, and the scrap rate is high. The problem can be solved by professional tapping oil. 7) When the next tap is used during tapping, screw it into the tapped thread by hand first, and then turn it with a wrench when it cannot be screwed in again. When exiting after final taper tapping, it is also necessary to avoid fast rotation of the winch, and it is better to screw it out by hand to ensure that the quality of the tapped thread is not affected. 8) During machine tapping, the tap and screw hole shall be coaxial. 9) During machine tapping, the calibration part of the tap cannot be fully tapped, otherwise, the teeth will be disordered when the tap is pulled out in reverse. 10) Cutting speed during machine tapping, generally 6-15 m/min for steel; 5-10m/min for quenched and tempered steel or harder steel; 2-7m/min for stainless steel; 8-10 m/min for cast iron. For the same material, the higher value shall be taken for smaller tap diameter, and the lower value shall be taken for larger tap diameter. The tapping process also requires professional tapping oil, which can effectively reduce the friction between the workpiece and the tap, reduce wear, have a strong oil film, prevent the workpiece surface from scratching and wrinkling, and effectively improve the work quality and efficiency. At the same time, it can inhibit the temperature rise, reduce the production of sintering and seizure, prolong the service life of the mold, protect tools, inhibit the production of black sludge, and do not corrode the workpiece; Excellent cooling effect. It is very important to select a suitable tapping oil in tapping. Oil, water or volatile tapping oil shall be selected according to the process conditions. For difficult to machine workpieces, pure oil tapping oil shall be used.
