Emulsion is a diluent prepared by mixing emulsified oil with water in proportion. Its main components include water, Base Oil, surfactant, anti rust additive, etc. As the stock liquid of emulsion, emulsified oil is tens of thousands of tiny oil particles in stable state. The extent to which emulsified oil is compatible with water (hydrophilicity) depends on the concentration of hydrophilic and lipophilic groups.

The reasons for emulsion delamination or excessive precipitation on the surface should be analyzed from both internal and external factors.

Internal causes:
1. Consider whether the proportion of water and oil is appropriate. We can adjust the concentration values of hydrophilic and lipophilic groups by adding surfactants so that they do not delaminate.

2. The hardness factor of water for liquid preparation shall also be considered. During liquid preparation, pure water should be used instead of underground water with high hardness and ultra-high inorganic salt to save costs.

3. If the PH value of emulsion is too low, it will also cause stratification. In this case, sodium hydroxide solution or triethanolamine shall be supplemented in time.

4. When the temperature of wire drawing fluid is too high, it is recommended to cool the wire drawing fluid appropriately or install cooling equipment.

5. It does not rule out the possibility that the oxidation resistance of emulsified oil becomes worse due to long storage time.

External causes
It mainly considers that the sealing is not tight and there is microbial invasion. In this case, it is recommended to add cleaning agent and supplement sodium hydroxide solution or triethanolamine.
