Anyone who does metal processing knows that if the processing methods, requirements, and processing materials are different, the product formulas are also different. Today, I will talk about the common formulas of cutting oil and stamping oil in stainless steel metal processing. Of course, this formula is not necessarily Applicable to all stainless steel processing, because metal processing is inherently a problematic industry, the following formulas are only commonly used formulas, for reference only!

1. Common formula of cutting oil

Stainless steel cutting oil, also called stainless steel processing oil, stainless steel grinding oil, drilling cutting oil, etc., can also be called: lathe turning oil, machine tool cutting oil, machine cutting oil, equipment cutting oil, stainless steel lubricating oil, etc. It is made of highly refined mineral oil It is made with extreme pressure agent, lubricant, active sulfur compound, medium viscosity, high extreme pressure performance, effectively reducing cutting temperature and oil mist generation, extending tool life, and improving product finish.

The following data is the formula of the mainstream "stainless steel cutting oil" in the market
Formulation A: Black sulfur 8%+Chlorinated paraffin 20%+Vegetable oil 5%+Imported sulfurized olefin (**40) 2%+T106A 0.5%+150SN balance

Formulation B: sulfurized fatty acid ester YD-3015 5%+T301 10%+YD-1810B 2%+epoxy soybean oil 1%+150SN balance

Second, the commonly used formula of stamping oil
Stamping oil is a metal processing oil prepared by adding vulcanized lard as the main agent and adding various additives such as refined oiliness agent and rust inhibitor. It is especially suitable for high-strength operations such as punching, stamping, tapping, and grooving. At the same time, it is also very suitable for plastic forming. It has good lubricity and extreme pressure, and has good protective properties for the mold.

Formulation A: T301 40%+T405 15%+vegetable oil 8%+imported sulfurized olefin (**40) 2%+phosphate ester 1%+500SN balance

Formulation B: sulfurized lard YD-1810B 10%+T301 15%+sulfurized fatty acid ester YD-3015 3%+epoxy soybean oil 1.5%+500SN balance
   
The pressure section of 1000N—3000N is the transition of lubricating oil from physical lubrication to chemical lubrication, and the chemical oil film is formed from the physical oil film. Because the old physical lubricating oil film loses its effect with the increase of pressure and temperature, the new chemical extreme pressure oil film is positive. In the process of formation, due to the violent reaction of the chemical substances in the extreme pressure agent, the lubrication is unstable, and the frictional force will fluctuate abnormally. This is the weakest stage of the lubrication effect in the entire lubrication process. The size and shape of the spots directly determine the processing effect and efficiency. Therefore, most of the problems in metal processing will occur at this stage of the replacement of the old and new oil films. This stage is unavoidable, but the severity of the fluctuation can be determined by selecting the extreme With the improvement of the anti-wear additive, the smoother the fluctuation and the shorter the time, the better the effect of its use.
    
From the above four-ball data, it can be seen that using the same Base Oil and the same experimental method, without increasing the cost, the extreme pressure and abrasion resistance of formula B is much better than formula A, and the processing efficiency must be higher. There is still a lot of room for improvement in the adjustment of the additive amount; even if the additive amount of the main agent is increased in Formula A, there is not much room for improvement. Therefore, the "linear theory" should be used to make the necessary vulcanization additives before selecting them. Four ball test.
