Generally, the defoaming of semi synthetic cutting fluid depends on the hardness of defoamer and water (calcium and magnesium ions in water). Traditional defoamers are time sensitive, so the hardness of water plays a decisive role in the performance of foam.

For customers with hard water quality, the requirements for hard water resistance of cutting fluid are very high, but they seldom worry about foam;

For customers using soft water, the requirements for hard water resistance of cutting fluid are low, and they may worry about foam.

Foaming caused by processing site:

1. There is no rule or regulation for fluid infusion (after adding water, add concentrated solution)

2. The concentration of processing fluid is too high

3. The processing fluid is contaminated (residual cleaning agent of other processes, or cleaning agent of the cleaning machine, cutting fluid of other brands, etc.)

4. The tank design or volume problem (the return tank is designed too small, and the foam can't be eliminated by standing still)

5. The temperature of the processing fluid is too high (usually controlled at 20-30 ℃)

In general, the cutting fluid blisters. The above points should be checked to find out the cause of blistering, so as to suit the case. If it is the reason that cannot be improved in a short time, such as the small volume of the liquid tank, you can choose defoamer to solve the foaming problem.
