1. What kinds of damping grease are there? Where can it be used?
Damping grease is a type of grease that plays a dual role of damping and lubrication between two friction surfaces. Used in most mechanical and electro-mechanical instruments to control free movement and reduce noise; used in focus adjustment of optical instruments, damping grease can also control sliding to ensure smooth, silent operation. But actually damping greases are also divided into different types.

1) Polysiloxane damping grease: The advantage of this type of damping grease is that it has good viscosity-temperature performance, but small adhesion and poor lubricity.
2) Polybutene + polysiloxane type: This type of damping grease combines the advantages of the first two types of good lubricity, good adhesion, and good viscosity-temperature properties.
3) Ethylene and olefin polymer damping grease: The lubricity of this type of damping grease is equivalent to that of polybutene damping grease, and its viscosity-temperature property is between that of polybutene and polysiloxane damping grease.

4) Polybutene type damping grease: It was found that calcium-based, lithium-based and other common soap-based greases feel too bad, so the initial damping grease was made with polymer as Base Oil. The commonly used polymer is polybutene, and the commonly used thickeners are silica, bentonite or fatty acid metal soap. The biggest disadvantage of this type of grease is the poor viscosity-temperature property. At high temperature, polybutene decomposes to make the grease hard, and at low temperature, the grease will solidify.

2. Where can damping grease be used
It is suitable for lubrication, damping and sealing of various mechanisms, optical instruments, loading mechanisms for CDs, DVDs, etc., slow-opening mechanisms, sound knobs, and the lubrication, damping and sealing of blocking buffer parts of precision instruments, building decoration materials, etc. Lubrication, damping and sealing of positioning mechanisms, suitable for lubrication, damping and sealing of electronic and electrical products, automotive instruments, aerospace and other parts, lubrication, damping and sealing between plastic gears and plastic and metal parts, and also It can be applied to damping, vibration reduction and lubrication of various high-end furniture, bathroom accessories buffers and buffer hinges.

3. Damping grease is divided into low viscosity, medium viscosity, high viscosity, etc. What is the difference between them in terms of functional characteristics
Low-viscosity damping grease: It has excellent low temperature adaptability and low adhesion, and is generally suitable for lubrication, damping and sealing of various mechanisms with low viscosity requirements.
Medium-viscosity damping grease: high adhesion, good shock absorption and cushioning, generally suitable for optical instruments, CD, DVD and other loading mechanisms, slow-opening mechanisms, audio knobs and precision instruments that require high viscosity , Lubrication, damping and sealing of blocking buffer parts of building decoration materials.
High-viscosity damping grease: With very high adhesion, it is suitable for lubrication, damping and sealing of various mechanisms that require extremely high viscosity.
